I am very satisfied with this lamp. It has two settings: half and full bright, which was a nice surprise to me. I use half bright for when need some ambient light, and full brihtness for reading. It has a nice and solid feel to it - brushed metal finish, overall design quite modern. The neck is flexible yet not loose. Has the right height and good sturdy stance. The price with free shipping option is right.
For $50 I expected more. The base is heavy but the rest of the lamp feels flimsy. The neck is so hard to bend that I have to steady the lamp with my other hand. Maybe I expect too much for $50. I do like the two brightness settings.
